It’s constantly revealing itself in new and splendid ways, and Singapore’s been growing in culture and art for a number of years now.  This island city state is one of the more savvy places in the world for world culture, and has a cosmopolitan sensibility that tends to embrace the global.  There are a surprising number of citizens who go to events regularly, and there are many pockets of new cultures that seem to spontaneously erupt all the time.  It’s a fantastic place to visit, and whether the stay here has a packed itinerary, or if there’s more than ample down time, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the culture, because sometimes it happens in the streets, right before your eyes.

It has a very pleasing sensibility, and one that is very much boosted when you have the chance to stay here in luxury.  Singapore business hotels are very classy, and reflect the aesthetics of the area.  There is a brilliant combination of the old and the new, to put you in the seat of contemporary conveniences, while also appealing to your sense of classical style.  You’ll notice these things as soon as you wake in the morning, and find it easy to get yourself ready for the first meeting of the day.  While you’re on your way, you may want to keep an eye out for the places that catch your eye, so that you can follow your nose later on when you have a moment.

There’s a touch of the surreal in the generally accessible works at the Eagle Eye Gallery, even though they also act as a supplier and consultancy firm for government agencies, and something here might surely catch the eye of the awakened visitor.  Some of the artists, like Michael Tan create works with immediate visual appeal, but something much more beckoning lies just beneath the surface.  Tan’s obsessions begin with Malaysia, as well as cats, and from there great dreams are put to canvas.
